OUR STORY

Take a look at the place,
the people and the food.

Meconi’s Italian Subs has been locally owned and operated since 1986. Wayne and Nancy Meconi moved their family from Pennsylvania to Lacey and they realized this area needed a good “East Coast Style” sub shop. In 1986, they opened the first Meconi’s Italian Subs in a small remodeled three car garage. It was an overnight success and has continued to grow! In the spring of 2013, the original Lacey store opened their new building right next to the original location. The new store is now able to seat customers, both indoors and outdoors more comfortably!

In 1993, their daughter Maria Meconi joined the business and opened the Olympia location. They relocated the Olympia store across the street into a brand new multi-use building in 2010 and have continued to serve the downtown Olympia community.

The Tumwater Meconi’s opened in 2008 and continues to grow each year and to provide great subs to the Tumwater area residents.

Also in the spring of 2013, the fourth location was opened in Hawks Prairie. This location  serves all of our customers in NE Lacey as well as some of our military stationed at Ft. Lewis and Tacoma areas.

Meconi’s Subs has been voted “Best Sub Shop” in the Olympian Newspaper’s “Best of South Sound” every year. The fresh homemade bread from their in-house bakery, quality ingredients, and the family-owned atmosphere has made Meconi’s Subs into a local favorite.
